马太福音-Matthew 11章4~6节

11:4 耶稣回答他们说,你们去,把所闻所见的报告约翰,
  And Jesus answered and said to them, Go, report to John the things that you hear and see:
11:5 就是瞎子看见,瘸子行走,患麻风的得洁净,聋子听见,死人复活,穷人有福音传给他们。
  The blind receive their sight and the lame walk; the lepers are cleansed and the deaf hear; and the dead are raised and the poor have the gospel announced to them;
11:6 凡不因我绊跌的,就有福了。
  And blessed is he who is not stumbled because of Me.

Enlightenment:

This word implies that John the Baptist was in danger of being stumbled in the Lord, because the Lord did not act on his behalf according to his way. Here the Lord encouraged him to take the way the Lord had ordained for him that he might be blessed. This blessing has much to do with the participation in the kingdom of the heavens.

In these verses the Lord seemed to be saying to John, “There is no doubt that I am the Messiah. My being the Messiah does not depend on whether or not I do something for you. I have healed the blind, the deaf, and the sick. I have even raised the dead.
