8月8日，美国东岸时间晚上8点，学者福音举办了第六次“线上福音座谈”，主题是《神奇的材料》，主讲人是奥本大学的张教授。有约500位一起上线，共同参加。
张弟兄开篇介绍材料的历史。大众所说的“石器时代”、“铜器时代”、“铁器时代”、“硅时代”，完全是以材料来断定时代。由此可见，人类文明与材料密不可分。如今，高分子材料越来越凸显出优越和广泛应用，我们可以说，现今的时代也可说是“高分子时代”。
张弟兄接着简介材料的组成，特别强调材料的特性与材料里原子间的共价键关系紧密。
张弟兄从介绍他的研究方向——“纳米复合材料”开始，举例说明“复合”导致材料的许多新奇特性，遍及医药、钢铁、生物传感器电极材料、超级电容器活性材料、析氢反应催化剂等。张弟兄强调，复合材料既要有关键组分，又要经过复合的过程（高温，高压，混合，磨合等）才能把低品质，没有功用的组分变成高品质，能尽功用的复合材料。
接续张弟兄的讲座，黄弟兄把话题引到属灵的范围。人是神所造的独特容器，为了盛装神，其中的关键部分是人的灵。然而，人在受造后堕落了，灵丧失了接触神、盛装神的能力，结果是人生的空虚。今天，人只有接受耶稣的救赎，灵被重生，有神的生命，才能恢复起初被造的功用，重拾生存的意义。不仅如此，重生的信徒也是材料，被神用来建造祂的居所。
人所接受的神的生命乃是复合的灵，包含造物主的神性和救赎主的人性、苦难、死亡、复活的经历，安慰和消杀的能力。这复合的灵在信徒里面，产生与众不同的生活，把基督彰显在地上。在神的眼里，人乃是荣耀的器皿，宝贵的材料。
