约翰福音-John 19章1~5节
| 19:1 |
当下，彼拉多将耶稣带去鞭打了。 Therefore at that time Pilate took Jesus and scourged Him. |

兵丁用荆棘编作冠冕，戴在祂头上，给祂穿上紫袍， And the soldiers wove a crown of thorns and put it on His head, and they threw a purple garment around Him. |

又来到祂跟前，说，犹太人的王！愿你喜乐！他们就用手掌打祂。 And they came to Him and said, Rejoice, King of the Jews! and slapped Him. |

彼拉多又出来对众人说，看哪，我把祂带出来给你们，叫你们知道我查不出祂有什么该定罪的。 And Pilate went outside again and said to them, Behold, I am bringing Him out to you that you may know that I find no fault in Him. |

耶稣出来，戴着荆棘冠冕，穿着紫袍。彼拉多对他们说，看哪，这个人。 Then Jesus came out, wearing the thorny crown and the purple garment. And he said to them, Behold, the man! |
Enlightenment:
Pilate, as a governor of the Roman Empire, was very timid. He was an excellent example of a politician. Although he knew what was right and what was wrong, he, like all politicians, was afraid of the people. The same is true of politicians today. Pilate found no fault in the Lord Jesus; he knew that the Lord had done nothing wrong. But the voices of the people subdued him, and he was not honest, genuine, nor faithful.

彼拉多是罗马帝国的总督，非常胆怯。他是一个政治人物的好例子。他虽然知道什么是对的，什么是错的，但他和所有的政治人物一样，害怕百姓。今天的政治人物也是这样。彼拉多查不出主耶稣有什么该定罪的，他知道主没有作过什么错事；但百姓的声音征服了他，他不真诚、不忠信。
